Applying appropriate transitions and effects
I applied filters to all my clips to make all the footage look uniform as I filmed the footage at different times in different lighting conditions. The filters also give the footage a warmer feel and make it look that little more professional.
For the audio I layered the sound track "Drive by MOOG" which I felt fitted the film perfectly and gave a subtle mellow tone. On top of this i then layered the voices of interviewees who's cars featured in this film. It was their answers to why they modify and what driving means to them. This audio is what gives the film meaning and explains its purpose.
On some transitions a layered stock footage of burning film which I then turned the opacity down to 10%. This created a more interesting transition between some of the clips and I had also spotted that it is a quite popular technique used in this genre of videos.
